Academic Council
The Academic Council of the Institute of Law is a permanent elected representative body that exercises general management of the activities of the Institute, departments and other structural divisions, ensuring the principle of self-government within the framework of the powers granted to the Institute and its Academic Council.
The competencies of the Academic Council include:
- Development and submission of the institute's development program for approval by the Academic Council of BashSU.
- Consideration and submission of draft basic curricula to the Academic Council of BashSU for approval.
- Review of draft working curricula.
- Preliminary consideration and recommendation of candidates for the positions of the head of the Institute, heads of departments.
- Approval of the Institute's work plan for the next year.
- Coordination of work on improving educational and methodological and research work.
- Systematic analysis of information about the quality of training, generalization and dissemination of experience of innovations in the field of educational process organization.

- Competitive selection of persons applying for the position of assistant, teacher, senior lecturer, associate professor of the Institute.
- Nomination of candidates for election to the positions of professor of the Institute.
- Listening to the annual reports of the director of the Institute, heads of departments and heads of structural divisions.
- Making decisions on issues within the competence of the Academic Council of the Institute of Law.
